Psalm 27:6

"And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. "

This psalm is full of incredible promise. It talks about the security we have in our strong and mighty God. It gets down to the nitty gritty of what our deepest prayers should be, and it also gives the best imagery of what a life of victory and defeat over the stupid devil looks like. No matter how hard we try to beat him, to silence him, and to not listen to His toxic voice, some days He manages to get in there and we are left feeling two inches tall. Then we read this beautiful picture of our heads being lifted up above the enemy of our soul. It's like flying high, above it all.

Lift up your head. God makes you confident. You have all the confidence you need to fight the enemy and the mean world that tries to keep you insecure, afraid and defeated. You're such a winner. You have this confidence because of the Holy Spirit in you. So, praise Him always. Praise HIm because He lifts your head up above all your enemies: at work, in the family (everyone has them in the family), certain friends who aren't really friends, and even your own demons and insecurities. Then praise Jesus with all the joy in your heart. Even if you have to force out some joy. Sing a song to Jesus and praise Him because He is so present, so perfect, and so in love with you.
