Hebrews 12:2 (the message)

"Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God."

Don't stop looking at Jesus. All day every day - whatever you find yourself doing at the moment - keep your eyes on Him. He is the one who will inspire you always. He has been before you in every possible life situation, every circumstance and every emotion you can imagine could fit into your heart. Fix your heavy eyes (heavy from life, heavy from being broken a time or two...) on the sweet saviour king who began and finished the battle for us.

Anything you're doing right now, whatever "cross" you're enduring, whatever "shame" you're experiencing, He has been there, felt it, put up with it and beat it. He pushed through and didn't give up. With everything in me, I beg you to not give up when it gets painful and you're sick of the whole thing. Jesus didn't lose sight of his purpose. He made it home and is now sitting next to His Dad in Heaven on the throne. Jesus is alive. He made it home, far above this earth, and you will too.
